Bee-utiful Sunflower Table Runner (In the Hoop)
Bring the bees and sunflowers inside to your table this summer, or any time you want to think of
sunny days. Get more practice with machine applique, embroidery and quilting with this in the
hoop project. This project includes 2 appliqué, 3 embroidery and 2 custom quilting designs! The
final table runner size is 17 x38 inches. This is a two-day class so you can finish your project.
Supplies
Tear away stabilizer
1 yard of background fabric
1-1/2 yards of Pellon Fusible Shape-Flex SF101
1/4 yard sunflower fabric
1/4 yard leaf fabric or scraps
1/8 yard centers of sunflower fabric
1-1/3 yards (30” x 48”) backing fabric
Batting
Six 6” squares of scrap batting
1/4 yard binding
Temporary Spray Adhesive
Embroidery thread: gold, green, black, white and silver-
gray or colors to match up with the fabrics you chose
Water soluble pen or frixion pen
Embroidery Tape
Largest embroidery hoop you have (Minimum size is
6”x6”)
Table that goes with your sewing machine
